It was a beautiful day in Soul Society, and as Yoruichi looked around, she almost missed it.

Almost.

But she had no time for regrets, not that she had any anyway. well maybe a couple but she'll never admit that She was here on a mission.

A BEAUTIFICATION mission.

Adeptly, she sneaked her way into the Kuchiki mansion unseen, and found her way to the room where Byakuya had sequestered himself. He was sound asleep on his bed, and Yoruichi stood there a moment, debating her options. 1) Wake him up loudly and annoyingly, 2) draw on his face and take embarrassing pictures, or 3) use the pretty pretty ribbons she had brought with her to braid his hair while he was asleep.

She chose the third option.

Settling herself down next to the sleeping man, she grinned as she pulled out the ribbons and began to braid them into his long black hair.

((OOC: Done with Setine's permission, btw))

Unluckily for the teacher, the student had learned all too well from her. Byakuya flipped over, moving to catch her hand and attempt to wrangle her to the ground.

Smirking to herself, Yoruichi twisted in his grasp, grabbing at his forearm and shifting her weight back to pull him upwards instead of letting herself be pulled down.

He was all too used to this. It didn't take him a moment to retaliate; hoisting her up onto his lap so that he could throw her down once more.

"Why have you returned?"

Yoruichi landed on her back, but quickly twisted once again in order to escape his grasp and roll onto her feet once more.

She suddenly looked serious.

"I heard a little something about how you were acting lately."

Byakuya's expression became dark. Who dared to tell her about how he was feeling? He huffed and pulled his clothes together, making himself presentable.

"It is none of your concern." He said, coldly.

Yoruichi crossed her arms and looked at him critically.

"Well, I've made it my concern, considering that moping around in self-pity seems to be yours."

He would never show her his anger. Byakuya stayed quiet, not allowing himself to express the anger that he felt. Self-pity? Self-pity? She wasn't there the first time he lost her, she wasn't there the second time he lost her, or the third, or the fourth.

"Leave."

Yoruichi had realized the second she said it that she had gone over the line. But she stood firm, and nodded, turning away.

She took a step, but then stopped and turned her head slightly.

"Perhaps instead of only concentrating on the fact that she's gone, you should cherish the memories of the time you were given to spend with her instead."

After another step, with her hand on the door frame, she added, "after all, instead of bringing her back as your wife, she could just has easily been brought back as someone else's wife."

And then she was out the door and gone. But probably poking around to say hi to Chibiusa first.
